We are looking for a Teaching Assistant for 31.67 hours per week, 8.45 am to 3.30 pm, Monday to Friday, 38 weeks per year. Required from 1 September 2025
Thurston CE Primary Academy is looking to recruit an appropriately experienced, and hardworking individual to join our dedicated, supportive and highly effective team.
We are looking for a highly motivated team player, with a calm and patient approach who:
- can support pupils on a one to one basis
- has good literacy and numeracy skills
- ELSA accreditation preferable
- can form positive relationships and undertake the key worker role, liaising with the SENDCo, health professionals and parents
- is willing to undertake training and attend meetings as necessary.
The post offers a fulfilling opportunity to work with a committed team and the young people in our successful school community.
At the heart of learning is a strong partnership between school and home. We strive hard to achieve this and we work with parents so that together we can provide the very best all-round education for the children.
We relocated to a larger area in Norton Road in Thurston in 2021 to accommodate the huge expansion, which will see the school grow from being able to accommodate 210 pupils to 420. Our new school provides a modern learning environment for local children.
This is a fabulous opportunity to join our supportive and caring team of professionals working with enthusiastic pupils.
