ESG Engagement Lead Role
The ESG (Environmental, Social & Governance) Engagement Lead is responsible for developing and implementing sustainable business strategies and practices that meet Dun & Bradstreet’s ESG objectives. This role will contribute significantly to our company\’s commitment to sustainability and social responsibility, working closely with leadership and cross-functional teams. The role involves leading key initiatives and serving as the primary contact for our International operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to and implement Dun & Bradstreet’s global ESG strategy as the key contact for our International operations.
- Support the implementation of our corporate social responsibility (CSR) program globally, organize community engagement events, and manage employee engagement initiatives.
- Oversee ESG data collection, manage our data management platform, and support internal contributors for timely and accurate data inputs.
- Ensure alignment with ESG reporting standards (e.g., GRI, SASB, TCFD, IFRS, UNGC/UN SDGs) and compliance with regulations like the EU’s CSRD.
- Monitor evolving ESG regulations and industry trends to ensure compliance, especially in climate disclosure.
- Partner with internal teams to align ESG goals and incorporate ESG considerations into decision-making.
- Collaborate with external advisors, industry associations, and community partners to enhance engagement and program alignment.
- Support the delivery of the annual ESG report, including data collection, auditing, and content alignment with standards.
- Disclose ESG information to rating agencies (e.g., S&P, CDP, EcoVadis) and respond to client inquiries.
- Identify, coordinate, and mitigate ESG-related risks, focusing on international locations.
- Increase team awareness of ESG principles in partnership with the Communications team.
- Update and implement global ESG policies.
- Assist the International Operations team with standards related to sustainability, such as ISO 14001, ISO 50001.
Key Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business, project management, or a related field (preferred).
- 8+ years of project management experience.
- 4+ years working on a multi-national ESG program.
- Knowledge of ESG reporting frameworks like CSRD, GRI, SASB, TCFD, IFRS, UNGC/UN SDGs, and sustainability legislation.
- Certification in ESG or sustainability programs.
- Understanding of tracking and calculating scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions, and experience with emissions calculation software.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with ISO 14001 certification is desirable.
- Experience implementing emissions reduction initiatives is desirable.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
