We are expanding our team at our residential children\’s home in Wingrave and are looking to recruit a Team Leader to work closely with our Registered Manager and deputise for them in their absence.
Outline of Role
What will your days be like? You will be leading a team that supports 5 children who share a house. You\’ll provide coaching, mentoring and encouragement to your team, working with them to find creative ways of interacting with children who have learning disabilities and/or autism. You\’ll provide direct support to the children, and liaise with families, social workers and other members of each child\’s support circle.
Each young person we support is unique, with their own strengths, interests, and individual support plan tailored to their specific needs. Some may sometimes express themselves through behaviours that challenge, and you’ll be supported by experienced teams and a dedicated Frontline Manager to build trusting relationships and develop positive, person-centred approaches. Part of your role will also involve providing respectful support with washing, dressing, and hygiene, always delivered in a way that promotes dignity, independence, and choice.
This is a full time role working 38 hours per week.

What we need from you
You will have experience of supporting vulnerable people, ideally those with a learning disability. You will have managed a team.
You’ll be creative in your thinking and your approach to staff, the people we support and their families, able to inspire and motivate.
You\’ll need to be well-organised, with a good understanding of budgeting, and be IT-literate.
You must be a driver with your own transport, as you will travel regularly between services in the area, as well as to meetings, conferences and training.

Training and Development
