Your mission
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Trainee Accountant to join our Corporate Accounting team. The role is ideal for individuals looking to start a career in investment or financial services. As a Trainee Accountant, you will assist in the preparation and review of financial reports and statements for investment companies, ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance. Specifically, you will:
- Assist with daily, weekly, and monthly accounting, including bookkeeping, preparation of accounting reports, and Annual Accounts.
- Support the production of Net Asset Value (NAV) calculations for assigned entities.
- Reconcile fund cash, assets, investment, and share capital positions records.
- Maintain fund accounting records in accordance with internal controls and procedures.
- Collaborate with senior accountants and corporate administrators to resolve discrepancies.
- Assist with audit preparation and respond to auditor queries.
- Help prepare investor reports and statements.
- Ensure adherence to fund accounting policies and regulatory standards.
Your profile
- Degree-level education in Accounting or Business Studies (preferable).
- Strong analytical and numerical skills with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
