About this Opportunity
At Scotiabank, we’re looking for a driven and analytical Associate to join our Power, Utilities & Infrastructure (PUI) team in London. You’ll play a critical role in supporting high-profile clients and complex transactions while contributing to a dynamic and high-performing team environment.
This is a unique opportunity to be part of a corporate banking team, working on some of the most impactful infrastructure deals in the UK. If you’re passionate about structured finance, infrastructure, and building long-lasting client relationships, we want to hear from you.

What You’ll Do
• Support the execution of lending and acquisition finance deals across the PUI sector.
• Participate in all aspects of deal processes; due diligence, structuring, credit analysis, modelling, documentation, and internal approvals.
• Prepare and present high-quality materials for internal and external stakeholders, including senior management and clients.
• Build strong relationships with sponsors, legal firms, advisors, lenders, and internal teams across Scotiabank’s global platform.
• Develop a deep understanding of products across Investment Banking, Debt Capital Markets, FX, Global Transaction Banking, and more.
• Contribute to portfolio management, monitoring performance, and identifying potential risks and opportunities.
• Act as a key resource within the team, helping to streamline execution and drive operational efficiency.

What You’ll Bring
• Undergraduate degree (finance, economics, accounting, or a related field preferred).
• Previous experience in infrastructure lending, project finance, credit analysis, or acquisition finance.
• Strong knowledge of legal documentation, due diligence, and deal structuring.
• Excellent communication skills and a keen ability to prepare and present thorough, concise credit submissions.
• A collaborative mindset with a commitment to high performance and continuous learning.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining strong attention to detail.
• Strong financial modelling skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Experience in working with clients and stakeholders in the UK and European infrastructure space is highly desirable.
