My client, a large global financial services brand, is looking for an experienced Operational Resilience Process Mapping and Testing specialist on an initial contract basis. The role is hybrid, based in the London office, and inside IR35.

The purpose of the role is as follows:

  • Support the Operational Resilience team in developing and maintaining a process catalogue related to Important Business Services across five core pillars: technology, third parties, people, property, and data/information.
  • Translate business requirements into meaningful processes that reflect actual business operations.
  • Collaborate with teams across the business to measure, review, and standardize process maps.
  • Maintain data integrity and quality throughout the change lifecycle of the mapping repository.
  • Work proactively with subject matter experts (SMEs) to review and implement feedback on process changes.
  • Demonstrate ability to work collaboratively with multiple internal teams involved in end-to-end processes.
  • Track workflows and monitor deadlines to ensure process maps are approved timely.
  • Escalate overdue approvals and monitor monthly schedules.
  • Develop reporting requirements and implement data/MI to provide clear visibility of the process mapping journey.
  • Document methodology, inputs, owners, and approvers for mapping and reporting processes.
  • Continuously improve process mapping to identify vulnerabilities and drive remediation plans.
  • Understand vulnerabilities and downstream impacts affecting service delivery.
  • Experience in scenario testing to identify resilience gaps, including research, documentation, assessment, facilitation, and reporting.

Required Skills:

  • Experience in end-to-end process mapping, understanding process flows, handoffs, dependencies, and creating clear mapping documents.
  • Proficiency in data sourcing, capturing, consolidating, and analyzing from varied sources to generate insights.
  • High proficiency with tools like Visio Professional and Advanced Excel.
  • Ability to extract insights and opportunities from data and present findings clearly.
  • Strong relationship management skills to improve data quality, reporting, and mapping.
  • Curiosity and questioning mindset to explore process details thoroughly.
  • Effective communication skills: confident, transparent, direct, and open; capable of holding others accountable and escalating issues.
  • Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple priorities with good time management.
