A fast-growing scale-up company in Reading, with a dynamic, small team, is looking for a Lead Embedded Software Engineer.

They have a fantastic company culture, and you’ll have a high degree of agency and autonomy developing an exciting product for a rapidly emerging new market.

Responsibilities as a Lead Embedded Software Engineer:

+ Full ownership of the software used on the company’s modules & lead development & maintenance of applications for the main system

+ Mentorship of junior engineers, taking the lead in the company’s culture

+ Developing embedded systems and AI models

Required skills for Lead Embedded Software Engineer:

+ Have held a leading software engineer role for a number of years

+ Proficiency with scripting languages like Python

+ Proficiency in C++ and Computer Vision

+ Experience developing control mechanisms for automation

Desirable skills:

+ Experience designing low power automated systems

+ AWS knowledge

+ Experience working with motors & materials handling systems
