PURPOSE
Feed the pulpers according to the daily loading sheet in compliance with the working instructions and the safety guide lines.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Pick bales of pulp / converting broke, de-wire (pulp unit and single bale) and load onto conveyor in line with specified loading schedule, entering details into stock management system
- Be familiar with the functioning and automation of referent plant equipment
- Operate the de-wiring conveyor, pulper feed conveyors and steel wire baler
- Identify potential contaminants in bales and isolate
- Complete routine checks on equipment and installation in the working area and report any faults identified
- Operate equipment in accordance with training guidelines
- Maintain the equipment guaranteeing the daily functioning in line with the work instructions
- Assist with the operation and cleaning of the paper machine if required, including all tasks where trained
- Comply with all defined standards for quality, environment and Health and Safety
- To ensure a high level of housekeeping of the working area is maintained throughout the shift

HOURS OF WORK
Full time 12-hour shifts (06:30 -18:30 or 18:30 – 06:30) with a mixture of days and nights. Hours work out at an average of 42 hours per week. The role follows a 4-week rota:
