We’re seeking a future team member for the role ofAlternatives analyst/assistant portfolio manager to join our NewtonMulti-Assets Investments team. This role is located inLondon, UK – Hybrid .

In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:

Key Responsibilities:

Investment Analysis & Research

  • Conduct in-depth due diligence on potential investments across infrastructure, real estate, and commodities.
  • To support investment ideas with timely and well-written research and to be responsive to research prioritisations.
  • To undertake research which is creative, imaginative and value additive and not merely maintenance-oriented.
  • Build and maintain financial models to assess investment opportunities and portfolio impact.
  • Perform market research, macroeconomic analysis, and thematic studies to support investment theses.
  • Prepare and present investment memos to the Investment Team.

Portfolio Management

  • Assist in the construction and ongoing management of diversified alternatives portfolios.
  • Implement investment strategies aligned with client financial goals, risk tolerance, and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor portfolio performance, risk exposures, and compliance with investment guidelines.
  • Prepare investment committee materials and present recommendations.
  • Collaborate with internal teams on asset allocation stress testing, and performance attribution.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Maintain relationships with external managers, consultants, and industry contacts.
  • Represent the firm at industry events, conferences, and due diligence meetings.
  • Support client reporting and respond to ad hoc queries from stakeholders.
  • Communicate investment strategies, market performance, and current conditions to clients and prospects.

To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required; advanced/graduate degree preferred.
• Demonstrable investment experience.
• CFA, CAIA designation or equivalent certification is mandatory.
• Experience in private equity, private credit, and private markets is highly desired.
• Financial statement analysis experience is required.
