Part-time Receptionist (24 hours/week)

The responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Ensure that all guests are welcomed and checked in to the hotel in a warm, genuine and professional manner, addressing them by name when possible. Be fully conversant with check-out procedures in an informative and helpful manner.
  • Project a helpful and enthusiastic attitude while offering choices, anticipating and identifying guest expectations, to ensure that guests’ needs are met and where possible exceeded.
  • Be aware of current hotel availability and propose up-sell and cross-sell when possible to maximize room occupancy and hotel revenue.
  • Present all accounts to company and agency bills with compliant back-up. Provide guests with the corresponding invoice related to payment taken.
  • Observe all security, health and safety regulations. Be capable of acting appropriately during emergency situations in accordance with hotel procedures.
  • Undertake duties with regard to relevant legislation. Undertake any other reasonable duties as directed by senior reception staff or management.
  • File all new arrival registration cards after completion by the guest with their personal details, ensuring contact details are accurate.
