Job Title: Mechanical Engineer (HVAC or Plumbing & Heating)
Location: Salford, Manchester
Working Hours: 08:00 – 17:00 (This will change after the first 4 – 6 weeks as they will go onto the shift pattern. Shift pattern is as follows: Day 1, 7am – 7pm; Day 2, 7am – 7pm; Day 3, 7pm – 7am; Day 4, 7pm – 7am; Day 5, off; Day 6, off; Day 7, off; Day 8, off.)
Pay Rate: Up to £21.22 PH
General Overview: We have an opportunity available for a Mechanical Engineer to work on a site in Salford, Manchester.
A sound mechanical knowledge of HVAC systems is essential.
- Experience working on commercial hot and cold water systems is essential.
- Approved and formal apprenticeship served in plumbing/mechanical skill area or relevant practical experience within a similar industry.
- Sound awareness of risk assessment & working safely with equipment.
- Complete all statutory and non-statutory maintenance in accordance with set maintenance schedules and contract SLAs.
- Complete reactive works in line with contract SLAs.
- Sound knowledge of health & safety including ISO 9001 & 14,001.
Ability to measure, work to plans (method statements), read technical diagrams, and communicate, present, and report technical information appropriately to trade/skill.
