Our client, a global asset manager, is seeking an equities derivatives trading strategist to join their team. They are looking for a technical expert who can provide strategic advice to portfolio managers, while driving innovation in derivatives capabilities across the investment platform.
Responsibilities
- Provide expert advice on derivatives structuring, pricing, and position management to portfolio managers
- Create ideas for derivatives trades, working with equity analysts and PMs on directional trade ideas and hedging strategies
- Deliver analytics and investment ideas on cross-asset derivatives markets
- Collaborate on product development and client solution design
- Support risk oversight and provide guidance on derivatives governance
- Ensure manager competency through training and development programs
- Drive development of derivative processes, tools, and reporting capabilities
Requirements
- 5+ years financial services experience with at least 3-5 years in equity derivatives, either on the buy or sell side in strategy, trading orstructuring
- Experience developing and executing equity derivative strategies, in particular single name/single stock options
- Ideally experience with cross-asset derivatives strategies
- Coding ability for backtesting systematic strategies and operational framework design
- Strong understanding of derivatives pricing, risk, and portfolio construction
- Excellent communication and relationship building skills
- CFA or industry qualifications preferred
