Southwark College, part of NCG (a leading national provider of education and training), is looking to recruit hourly paid ESOL lecturers to teach on ESOL courses starting from September 2025. Located near Waterloo Station, the successful candidates will be part of a large ESOL team, responsible for teaching ESOL to adult learners. We offer excellent resources and modern classrooms.
Main duties of the post holder include:
- Teaching ESOL to adult learners using various methods.
- Contributing to the review, planning, and development of the ESOL curriculum.
- Developing Schemes of Learning, lesson plans, and new teaching materials with the ESOL team.
- Designing and implementing assessment activities.
- Assessing student work and providing feedback to support skill development and maximize potential.
- Contributing to strategies that improve student achievement and retention.

We offer hourly paid opportunities on different days and times. Please indicate your preferred sessions in your application.
Available teaching sessions:
- Monday: 1.00 pm – 5.00 pm; Not available in the evenings.
- Tuesday: 1.00 pm – 5.00 pm; 5.30 pm – 9.00 pm.
- Thursday: 1.00 pm – 5.00 pm; 5.30 pm – 9.00 pm.
- Friday: 1.00 pm – 5.00 pm; Not available in the evenings.
- Saturday: 1.00 pm – 5.00 pm; Not available in the evenings.
