Job Title: DevOps Consultant
Location: Hybrid – Newcastle, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Leeds, Manchester, Birmingham, London
Salary: £50,000 – £60,000 + Benefits
Contract Type: Permanent
Overview:
Our client is seeking a DevOps Consultant to join its team delivering user-centred solutions for clients in government and regulated sectors. This is a hands-on, collaborative role focused on automation, simplicity, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead incident response, triage, and stakeholder communication during outages
- Design and implement CI/CD pipelines to accelerate software delivery
- Collaborate with clients to understand their environments and tooling
- Contribute to internal DevOps communities and knowledge sharing
- Champion best practices in automation, cloud-native engineering, and agile delivery
- Deliver services in line with UK Government Digital Service (GDS) standards
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Strong background in DevOps engineering and automation
- Experience with CI/CD tools and cloud platforms (eg, AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Familiarity with delivering services to GDS standards
- Comfortable working in agile, cross-functional teams
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Active SC Clearance is required
