The Enhanced Assessment Beds (EAB) team in Birmingham City Council assesses people who have recovered from an illness but can’t be discharged from the hospital right away.
What will your responsibilities be?
EABs provide a short-term, alternative placement for people to recover and receive a social care assessment. The goal is to avoid delayed hospital discharges and increase the chances of people recovering enough to live independently. EABs help people recover and receive a social care assessment, which can lead to a placement in a supported living scheme or other residential setting. Supported living schemes are small communities where people have their own home and receive ongoing care.
