Our brewery remains a pivotal part of our UK supply chain network, producing around 5 million hectolitres per year of Foster’s, Birra Moretti – and Heineken. About the Role
As a Technical Operator, you will be reporting into the Shift Manager and working within a highly skilled team being responsible for the brewing of our incredible brands. Having a lean mindset and positive attitude, a Technical operator must be motivated self-starters who will be proactive in taking ownership of their area. Safety will be your number one priority, reporting on any deviations – you will actively contribute to our Zero Accident Culture through leading by example and deliver high standards of cleanliness and reliability on our production plant. With an attention to detail, delivering FTR (First Time Right) on quality and process, you will be a champion of our C.I.L.T’s (cleaning, inspection, lubrication and tightening) tasks. You will work alongside very capable team members who will help you out initially, along with your shift manager, with the expectation to help drive continuous improvement within your area, through our Total Productive Management programme (TPM) (similar to LEAN theories). You will also be tasked with managing inventory of all raw materials, chemicals and goods receipts upon delivery as well as managing waster streams created from brewing processes.
What are we looking for?
With solid qualifications in Maths & English and a good understanding of IT systems, you will be comfortable working in an automated manufacturing environment with a desire to continue your learning.
In addition to this having experience within the following is highly ideal to be a success in this role:
- Exposure to Machinery within an FMCG environment.
- Operating, cleaning and maintaining equipment in a fast paced environment.
- Performing quality checks & taking swift corrective actions.
- Managing stock levels accruately with use of SAP.
- Use of process knowledge to identify root causes of problems and prevent recurrence.
- Performing technical tasks and changeovers safely, following procedures.
