Purpose:
We have a very exciting opportunity for a qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive (2-3 years PQE) to join our Private Client department on a full-time basis. The role will involve independently managing a caseload and assisting the Partner with complex cases. It will also include participation in practice and business development activities.
The ideal candidate will be personable, enthusiastic, self-motivated, adaptable, and experienced in non-contentious Private Client work. Strong organizational skills, the ability to prioritize, and excellent communication are essential.
You should work well in a close-knit, motivated team and contribute to departmental initiatives.
Hybrid working
Based in Bristol or Cardiff, with a mix of home and office work (typically 2 days in-office and 3 days remote). Infrastructure for remote work will be provided.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Advising clients on Private Client matters such as:
- Wills, including tax and estate planning;
- Estate administration, including taxable and non-taxable estates and post-death planning;
- Creating and registering Powers of Attorney;
- Creating and registering Trusts, including PI Compensation Trusts;
Additional skills include:
- Non-contentious Private Client knowledge;
- Excellent organizational skills;
- Business development passion;
- Proactive work approach;
- Ability to meet deadlines and stay calm under pressure;
- Experience managing private client caseloads independently;
- Tax and trusts expertise.
Education:
Qualified Solicitor, Legal Executive, or equivalent.
