This role offers flexibility to work from our offices in eitherLeatherhead, South Mimms, or Dartford.

CPS is a joint venture betweenBalfour Beatty, Atkins, andEgis, entrusted with operating and maintaining the M25—the busiest section of motorway in Europe. With over £100 million of annual investment in the highway infrastructure, this project is unlike any other, offering unmatched challenges and opportunities in highways engineering.

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Quantity Surveyor on the M25 project, you’ll play a vital role in delivering value, driving commercial excellence, and helping ensure one of the UK’s most significant infrastructure networks is maintained to the highest standards.

In this exciting and fast-paced role, you’ll be trusted to:

Manage costs and measurements for a variety of civil engineering works, ensuring accuracy and value for money

Analyse contract and project programmes, supporting strategic procurement and commercial planning

Provide clear, detailed commercial reporting, including cost-value reconciliations and outturn forecasts

Build strong relationships with customers and stakeholders, managing commercial expectations and communications effectively

Lead on the preparation, submission, and negotiation of claims, ensuring compliance with contract terms

Support and mentor junior team members, helping them progress towards professional chartership

You’ll bring:

Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, with the ability to lead or support commercial teams

A BSc or MSc in Quantity Surveying (or related discipline), backed by relevant industry experience

Professional membership (or working towards) with RICS, ICES or an equivalent recognised body

Experience in highways or civil engineering is a plus—but not essential for the right candidate

Location:

This is a hybrid role designed to fully maximize team collaboration on the project, we offer flexible working where you will typically be working from your base CPS office, Leatherhead, Dartford or South Mimms up to three days per week and two days from home.
