This position is with LaSalle Investment Management’s Debt and Value-Add Strategies team (the “Team”), a specialist business which invests fund capital into real estate debt and value-add equity investments across Europe. The team was set up in 2010 and has become one the largest providers of alternative finance on commercial real estate in Europe. Debt Investments. LaSalle\’s Investment Management’s Debt Investment team (the “Debt Team”) are a specialist business which invests fund capital into structured real estate debt investments across Europe. The Debt Team’s investment products include mezzanine, levered whole loans, development, and senior debt investments. The Debt Team was set up in 2010 and has become one the largest providers of alternative finance on commercial real estate in Europe, having invested €6bn in c.100 transactions as of Q3 2023. The Debt Team successfully raised €6.2bn of capital since 2010 across its senior secured, high-yield, and development investment vehicles. The Debt Team is actively exploring new opportunities and investment strategies that complement the platform’s existing investment vehicles.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

This role will support the build-out of an internal data infrastructure for LaSalle’s pan-European real estate debt business. Sitting under the Portfolio Management team and working directly with the Managing Director of Debt Investments to design and implement modular, auditable systems for pipeline management, asset reporting, legal term tracking, financial flows, and portfolio analytics.
This initiative replaces fragmented Excel-based workflows with structured systems capable of supporting future capabilities such as predictive dashboards, AI integration, document intelligence, and internal knowledge management. This role is expected to materially improve the quality, structure, and accessibility of internal data across the platform, enhancing investment decision-making, reporting, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with senior stakeholders to define a data and systems roadmap

  • Build and manage SQL-based database structures

  • Use Python to ingest, clean, and transform operational data

  • Create internal UI prototypes for data entry and visualization

  • Design systems to support pipeline tracking, asset reporting, legal term analysis, and fund-level analytics

  • Lay the foundation for future features including AI assistants, predictive analytics, and internal knowledge platforms.

  • Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • 1- 3 years of relevant experience.

  • Proficient in Python and SQL with experience building structured databases

  • Comfortable building user-facing tools or dashboards for business users

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently

  • Exposure to document parsing (PDFs), geocoding APIs, and automation workflows

  • Good understanding and an interest in real estate investments and knowledge of debt investments would be advantageous.

  • A team player with excellent communication skills, strong work ethic and positive attitude.

  • Energetic and self-motivated, with an ability to work independently and show initiative.
