Job Summary:
The Compliance Team ensures PwC CI complies with Guernsey and Jersey AML regulations and supports adherence to independence and ethics standards through monitoring, testing, and reporting.
You will be part of a tech-enabled, innovative, and collaborative team, leveraging the latest technologies to navigate regulatory complexities. We foster professional growth, offering coaching and opportunities for advancement, and encourage process improvements.
Responsibilities:
As a Sanctions and Financial Crime specialist, your responsibilities include:
- Assist with sanctions screening activities, including EU sanctions using Alteryx workflows.
- Support quarterly sanctions monitoring programs.
- Conduct compliance monitoring for Fiduciary Licensee in Guernsey.
- Maintain and update remedial actions and breaches registers.
- Report in the MLCO report and understand the effectiveness of sanctions screening tools.
- Provide compliance advisory support on policy queries and escalations.
- Develop sanctions and AML training materials.
- Complete and update compliance reports and datasets for regulatory submissions.
- Draft regulatory correspondence and ensure data accuracy across repositories.
- Propose updates to sanctions policies and contribute to policy reviews.
- Support compliance projects related to sanctions, including process and technology enhancements.
Reports to: Manager – Regulatory & Engagement Lead; Senior Manager – Deputy MLRO, Sanctions SME support, QMSE, Monitoring & Reporting
Qualifications & Certifications:
- Relevant professional qualification (e.g., ACCA, ICAEW); ICA Certificate or similar (ACAMS) preferred.
Skills & Experience:
- Experience in compliance monitoring, audit, or internal audit in the Channel Islands.
- Attention to detail, methodical, organized, and proactive.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Knowledge of Jersey and Guernsey AML and sanctions regulations is desirable.
Travel Requirements: Occasional travel between Jersey and Guernsey (circa 2-3 times per annum).
Other: No visa sponsorship; Government clearance required.
