The Role Associate Director – Ecologist
As an Associate Director, you will collaborate with technical specialists, mentor junior team members, and engage with clients to provide expert advice.
- Lead a team of excellent ecologists from graduate to senior level in Manchester
- Collaborate with the Sheffield ecology team on projects across the north of the UK
- Own the financials within the Manchester ecology team
- Lead and deliver ecological surveys, including protected species & habitat assessments at sign off stage.
- Manage ecological projects from inception to completion
- Support and mentor junior ecologists, fostering growth and sharing your expertise.
- Contribute to business development by building relationships with clients and identifying new opportunities.
- Engage with multidisciplinary teams to deliver nature-based solutions that leave a lasting impact.
You will be an experienced ecology leader with a solid understanding of UK environmental legislation, habitat assessments, and protected species surveys.
Experience required:
- Degree in ecology, environmental science, or a related field.
- Experience leading a team of ecologists
- Experience in managing projects
- Mentoring & training team members
- Previous involvement in the financial & commercial elements of projects
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build solid client relationships.
- A proactive attitude with a passion for promoting sustainable solutions.
- UK Driving Licence
