Job Description:
Our thriving Construction department is seeking a Carpentry and Joinery Lecturer to deliver an outstanding student learning experience, preparing young adults and experienced trade professionals for the modern world of work.
Responsibilities include:
- Teaching on courses specified by the management team, both in and out of College premises
- Assisting the management team in delivering high-value, financially efficient programmes, including resource management, and leading innovation and efficiency in learning delivery
- Being responsible for students\’ academic progress, wellbeing, behaviour management, and career and pastoral guidance throughout their learning journey
- Responding to student feedback, viewing students as primary stakeholders in their learning
- Helping students develop modern, safe working and employability skills
- Participating in enrolment, monitoring, profiling, and assessment of students
- Developing and promoting links with employer/industry partners
- Creating engaging programmes that include real-life work experiences, both on and off campus
- Developing personalized learning plans for students to meet and exceed their targets and reach career goals
- Managing students on placements, offsite visits, and related activities
