Following our recent growth and internal promotions, B&M Retail are seeking a highly skilled Marketing Data Analyst to join our team and play a crucial role in turning data into actionable insights that drive marketing performance and strategic decision-making.
As a Marketing Data Analyst, you will collect, analyse, and interpret a wide range of data sources including market research, customer and consumer behaviour, campaign performance, and partner data. Your insights will directly influence marketing strategies, campaign effectiveness, and business growth.
This role is ideal for an analytical thinker with a strong understanding of both data and marketing, capable of translating complex datasets into clear, concise insights for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
You will be responsible for:
- Gathering and consolidating data from multiple sources, including Google Analytics, YouGov, Kantar, banking partner data, sales reports, and other internal and external platforms
- Analysing large, complex datasets to uncover trends, patterns, and opportunities that inform marketing, buying and strategic business decisions, evaluate campaign performance, customer behaviour, and market dynamics
- Creating clear, insightful dashboards, visual reports, and presentations to communicate findings to senior stakeholders
- Marketing Performance & ROI Analysis across OOH, digital, CRM, social, web, PR, and influencer channels
- Providing recommendations to optimise marketing spend and campaign strategies based on data-driven insights as well as ways to improve data processes, reporting capabilities, and analytical approaches
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets and understand how marketing data drives business growth
- Proficiency in data visualisation and reporting, with experience in tools such as Excel, Google Analytics, YouGov, Kantar, or other relevant platforms
- Solid understanding of statistical concepts and techniques for analysing data and interpreting results
- Familiarity with core marketing principles, channels (digital, CRM, social, web, PR, influencers), and best practices
- Previous experience in a marketing, retail, financial services, or consumer-focused environment
