This includes the selection of new datacentre presence and it will accommodate closure of existing datacentre space within that strategy.
You understand and model the aggregated future capacity demand of the network platforms into datacentre space and power and you derive models for cost-efficient growth and retirement within these datacentres.
You will drive processes and tool development to accommodate the space and power utilisation of the network inventory and to improve the standards of audit and data reconciliation.

- Evaluating existing datacentre resources, such as space and power utilisation to determine their current capacity and identify potential bottlenecks. Generate refill activities within the Network Planning team.
- Creating data visualizations and reports to communicate findings effectively.
- Developing reports and dashboards in Salesforce Analytics and work with IT in setting up an internal capacity monitoring.
- Developing and implementing machine learning algorithms and models to perform capacity planning on multiple network and colocation platforms
- Establishing and driving the consistent power and space demand model within the network inventory and work with IT in reconciliation projects
- Work with internal and external fibre and datacentre teams to accommodate the demand for passive cable management resources.
- Drive tool adoption and guidelines to improve quality and security standards for datacentre space.
- Driving lit network builds to strategic DC presence with Network Development, Product and Architecture teams.
Team structure: As part of the Capacity Management team you will report to the Head of Planning and Deployment. The team is part of the Network Planning & Deployment, including Network Deployments, Service Planning, Optimisation and Inventory Management functions.

- Understanding of optical networking technologies and their relation to space and power demands.
- Experience in data analytics, reports and visualisations.
- Experience in planning and managing capital and operational budgets
- Proactive thinking and strong analytical skills
- The ability to work with cross – functional teams, and effective communication skills to present findings and to stakeholders and management
- A desire to learn and develop in your role.
- Ability to work across geographical boundaries and borders.
- Knowledge of Salesforce, Visio and Microsoft Office Suite programs are beneficial but not essential
