Role overview:
We are looking for a proactive and driven E-commerce Business Development Manager to identify and secure new business opportunities within the UK and Ireland . Your core responsibilities will include generating new leads, forming strategic partnerships, acquiring new clients, and driving revenue growth across the region.
This is an exciting opportunity for a results-focused individual with strong business development expertise and a good understanding of the eCommerce space.
You will report directly to the Director of eCommerce for the UK & Ireland . This is a hybrid/remote position, with a preference for candidates based within the UK or Ireland to facilitate occasional in-person meetings and collaboration.
What you will do:
Lead Generation & Prospecting
Identify and pursue new eCommerce business opportunities within the UK and Ireland, with occasional involvement across broader European markets.
Conduct market research to uncover potential clients, partners, and relevant industry trends.
Develop and implement tailored strategies to acquire new customers and drive revenue growth.
Deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals that address client needs and objectives.
Negotiate terms and successfully close deals to meet or exceed agreed sales targets.
Provide excellent service and support to clients throughout the sales cycle and into the ongoing relationship.
Maintain accurate records of sales activity and pipeline management via Salesforce.
Collaborate closely with internal teams—including product, operations, and customer support—to create customised solutions for clients.
Coordinate smooth onboarding and integration processes for new merchants.
Who you are:
Languages : Fluent in English (both written and spoken). Additional languages are a plus but not required.
Experience : Proven track record in business development with a strong focus on acquiring new business. Experience in eCommerce or payment solutions is desirable but not essential.
Initiative : A highly motivated self-starter with a strong hunter mentality and a results-driven approach.
Industry Knowledge : An understanding of the UK & Irish eCommerce market, including trends and competitor activity, is advantageous.
Communication : Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present ideas and solutions clearly and persuasively.
Analytical Thinking : Capable of analysing market opportunities and performance data to inform strategy.
Relationship Management : Ability to develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers.
Organisation : Strong time management and organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
