Building Surveyor Job in South East London

in South East London for a growing multidisciplinary consultancy working with local authorities and housing associations delivering retrofit schemes. Our client is looking for candidates with project management and contract administration experience. Offering a salary of up to £60,000.

Our client is a respected multi-disciplinary consultancy, well known in the industry for delivering high-quality, client-focused services across the built environment. With a strong presence in both the public and private sectors, they provide expertise in areas such as architecture, building surveying, project management, M&E engineering, and health and safety. Their collaborative, people-first approach and emphasis on technical excellence have earned them a solid reputation for delivering impactful and sustainable projects nationwide.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Support with client liaison, including presenting design schemes, contributing to project programming, and addressing key factors that impact service delivery
  • Act as the contract administrator or employer’s agent on a wide range of building types
  • Prepare and present for approval complete scheme designs.
  • Submit applications for statutory approvals, including planning, listed building consent and
    building control approval
  • Invite tenders for the main contract, carry out tender analysis and prepare tender reports and
    prepare contract documents
  • Undertake professional services to include party wall procedures, schedules of condition,
    inspection of buildings to determine condition and future maintenance liabilities, including
    preparing detailed reports.

Required Skills & Experience

  • BSc (Hons) in Building Surveying or equivalent
  • Two years+ of post-qualification experience
  • Associate membership of RICS or equivalent recognised qualification
  • Experience with retrofit schemes and decarbonisation schemes.
