Hexcel is currently seeking a Core Maintenance Leader for our Duxford, UK location.
The selected individual will be responsible for but not limited to the following obligations:
- Arrange and oversee planned maintenance planning, preparation, execution, and hand-back to production operations.
- Cost control of annual maintenance spend.
- Review daily status of owned assets and proactively prepare plans to prevent unplanned outages.
- Ensure asset performance in line with safety, quality, and productivity expectations.
- Propose Capital Projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Control spare part requirements, repairable items, and ensure stock levels match the needs of the assets.
- Work closely with production and planning groups to minimize disruption and maximize asset capacity.
- Ensure the quality of maintenance services are at an acceptable level to meet business needs.
- Control and ensure asset documentation is updated and available for maintenance and facilities teams.
- Lead root cause analysis into failures, following up actions through completion and to closure.
Qualifications:
- Recognised electrical engineering apprenticeship, degree, or equivalent. Minimum BTEC HNC in Electrical Engineering.
- Excellent communicator both written and verbal.
- Self-motivated and highly organised.
- Familiarity with multiple engineering disciplines.
- Full computer literacy and experience with CMMS systems.
- Strong understanding of UK legislation akin to a manufacturing facility.
- COMPEX EX 1-4 (gas/vapours) and 5-6 (dust) (desirable).
- IOSH (managing safely) (desirable).
