Job Description:

  • Managing projects from inception to completion, ensuring delivery on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Conducting site surveys to assess local conditions impacting design and researching local supply costs for budgeting.
  • Collaborating with the design and engineering team to review project documents and client information throughout the design process.
  • Working with the project director to prepare and monitor a detailed project budget.
  • Developing a detailed programme of works (PoW) to track progress.
  • Preparing contracts for suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Managing and supervising site engineers and subcontractors regarding PoW and scope.
  • Ensuring resource availability and allocation.
  • Preparing progress reports internally and for clients on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
  • Managing project activities to meet QHSE standards.
  • Performing risk assessments and resolving site issues proactively, escalating to the project director if necessary.
  • Reporting deviations from the PoW, budget, or scope to the project director.
  • Maintaining relationships with clients, suppliers, subcontractors, and internal teams.
  • Creating and maintaining comprehensive project documentation.
  • Handover of the project to the internal O&M team.

Qualifications Required:

  • BEng/MEng in electrical, mechanical, civil engineering, or related fields; MSc is an advantage.
  • Certification in project management (e.g., MBA, PMP, PRINCE II) is an advantage.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in construction and project management of energy projects such as battery storage and solar parks.
  • Experience in UK projects, especially in battery storage, is an advantage.
  • Fluency in English (spoken and written) is essential.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Working knowledge of MS Project and MS Office.
