Generative AI & LLM Lead – Banking – AI Strategy

Excellent opportunity opens to implement AI to automate Banking processes & tasks for top rated Private Bank (KYC, Finance, HR etc).

We\’re looking for a visionary GenAI & Automation Lead to drive the next wave of innovation in banking operations.

About the Role

As our GenAI & Automation Lead , you\’ll spearhead the design and deployment of Generative AI and LLM (Large Language Model) solutions that streamline operations, automate manual workflows, and enhance internal query resolution across the bank.

You\’ll sit at the heart of innovation—partnering with Compliance, Risk, Legal, Technology, and Data teams to embed cutting-edge AI tools into our core processes.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Define and execute the bank’s GenAI adoption strategy
  • Identify high-impact use cases (e.g., compliance, onboarding, reporting, customer service)
  • Prioritise opportunities based on ROI, risk, and feasibility

Solution Design & Delivery

  • Lead development of LLM-powered tools (e.g., internal bots, summarizers, regulatory assistants)
  • Collaborate with engineering/data teams on prompt engineering, tuning, and deployment

Process Automation

  • Re-engineer manual workflows using AI, IDP, and natural language interfaces
  • Integrate GenAI with RPA and workflow tools

Governance & Risk Management

  • Establish governance frameworks for explainability, bias mitigation, and auditability
  • Ensure compliance with data privacy laws and banking regulations

Change Management & Enablement

  • Drive adoption through training and stakeholder engagement
  • Build AI literacy and create continuous feedback loops
  • Chief Operating Officer (COO)
  • Heads of Compliance, Risk, Legal
  • Data and Engineering Teams
  • Business Unit Leaders
  • Technology Vendors & AI Partners

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience in AI/ML or automation roles (ideally within financial services)
  • Deep knowledge of LLMs (GPT, Claude, LLaMA) and GenAI applications
  • Proficiency in Python, APIs, cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP)
  • Familiarity with RPA tools and banking operations
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Exposure to AI governance frameworks (e.g., NIST, EU AI Act)
  • Background in process reengineering or Six Sigma

Preferred Qualifications

  • Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or similar
  • Relevant certifications in AI/ML, cloud, or process automation
