We are seeking an experienced and adaptable Principal Solutions Architect to join our team and lead the design and implementation of robust, cloud-native architectures. In this role, you\’ll work closely with Data Architects and Delivery Managers on large-scale modernization initiatives, driving seamless integrations and migrations from on-premise systems to AWS. Your Responsibilities
As a Principal Solutions Architect, you’ll play a strategic role in a major modernization initiative. You will collaborate closely with Delivery Managers and Data Architects, bringing your deep knowledge of AWS and infrastructure best practices to lead on-premise to cloud-native migrations. Your work will span from hands-on coding and automation to the architecture and integration of scalable, secure systems.
This position requires adaptability, ownership, and the ability to contribute at both strategic and technical levels. You will help ensure seamless networking and system integration in a dynamic, evolving environment.
What you\’ll do:
*Design and implement cloud-native architectures using AWS services
*Lead seamless integration and networking between systems in hybrid and fully cloud environments.
*Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
*Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Data Architects and Delivery Managers to drive successful migrations.
*Contribute to automation through scripting in Python, PowerShell, or similar languages.
*Develop CI/CD pipelines and automation strategies aligned with best practices.
*Work closely with developers and DevOps teams to ensure operational excellence and performance.
*Stay up-to-date with trends in cloud architecture, security, and DevOps methodologies.
*Ensure solutions are designed with scalability, security, and maintainability in mind.
*Champion best practices for cloud architecture and guide teams on AWS usage and infrastructure choices.
*Be flexible and ready to take on development tasks as needed by the project.
Requirements
- At least 7 years of experience in designing and implementing cloud-based solutions.
Extensive hands-on experience with AWS Cloud Technologies (EC2, S3, Lambda, VPCs, Transit Gateway, Direct Connect, CloudWatch, etc.).
Proficient in Python or PowerShell for infrastructure scripting and automation tasks.
Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible).
Proven experience designing and deploying CI/CD pipelines.
Familiarity with serverless and microservices architecture (e.g., AWS Lambda).
Solid knowledge of AWS-managed databases such as RDS and related services.
Experience in hybrid cloud environments and migrating from on-premise to cloud.
Understanding of cloud security best practices (certification not required).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
Ability to adapt quickly to evolving requirements and technologies.
Willingness to contribute to hands-on coding tasks when required.
