Travel Trainer – Southampton City Council, Transport & Planning
Location: Southampton • Salary: £28,792-£31,022 per year • Contract: Fixed term 1 year • Work Hours: Full time (37 hours per week)
Responsibilities
- Deliver group and individual training to children and young people, most of whom will have special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEN/D), to help them achieve independent travel by bus, train, walking and cycling.
- Communicate effectively at all levels and use experience with children and/or young people with SEN/D to support training goals.
Requirements
- Experience of working with children and/or young people with SEN/D.
- Ability to work with typical training hours, which fall within the range of 07:30 to 10:00 in the morning and 14:00 to 16:30 in the afternoon; hours may vary. Some additional hours may be required with time off in lieu provided.
- Desirable but not essential: living in SO18 or SO19.
- Enhanced DBS check will be required.
