Job Summary:
Requirement of a service delivery infrastructure lead, who will be responsible for working with our managed service partner to deliver the following important responsibilities. These are my high-level thoughts and not limited to just these activities :
– MW / DB estate is patched timely and kept current always
– Plans to remediate EOL timely
– Vulnerability remediation – Critical/ Zero day included
– Ensure MW and DB platforms are built as per QBE standards
– Projects related to the platforms are delivered on time and within budget
– Hold managed service provider accountable for their deliveries and ensure that the deliveries are as per the SLAs
– Maintains the security, confidentiality, and integrity of platforms through compliance and within the security framework designed with in QBE
– Provide leadership to the engineering team
– Manage a performance-based culture and work collaboratively with the managed service partner whilst ensuring that the service provide is held accountable for their deliveries
– Coach and mentor the team where required
– Provide technical guidance to the team on the platforms as required
– Find opportunities to improve even if the activity is small
– Look at opportunities to automate the processes
– Has Service focus and problem-solving capability
– Strong verbal and written communication capability
– Develop and maintain relationship with various other QBE teams such as security, Application teams, architecture team, technical assurance team etc
