Job Description:
An excellent and rewarding job opportunity has arisen for a Coach Builder/ Accident Repairer to join Arriva, based at our Repair centre in Derby Depot.
The Coach Builder will carry out effective repairs and planned maintenance to all company vehicles, ensuring all repairs adhere to DETR guidelines and the company’s Standard Maintenance Policy. The goal is to ensure all vehicles are safe and roadworthy upon completion.

The role of a Coach Builder involves:
- Ensuring safety, well-being, and comfort of all users of the company\’s vehicles, other road users, and pedestrians.
- Carrying out repairs to DETR and company standards, conforming to legislation.
- Performing repairs effectively and cost-efficiently.
- Possessing a valid driving license to test vehicles on public roads.
- Adhering to Safe Working practices and prioritizing Health and Safety.
- Carrying out all engineering functions relevant to the job scope.
- Minimizing repair costs and engineering lost mileage.
- Flexibility to work at other company locations temporarily if needed.
Requirements of a Coach Builder:
- Qualified with experience in a PSV vehicle workshop as a body builder/coach maker.
- Motivated team player, able to work independently and solve problems using initiative.
- Safety is paramount; induction and development will be provided.
