Position: Search Engine Marketing (SEM) Manager

Reporting to: Senior Manager, Search Engine Marketing

Location: London (hybrid)

We are looking for a skilled SEO & PPC specialist with around 4-8 years of experience. The years of experience are a guide; candidates with less or more experience but the right knowledge will be considered.

Working with the Senior SEM Marketing Manager, the SEM Manager will drive the performance of our Organic and Paid Search channels. You will join a lean, award-winning SEM team with 15 industry award nominations, including UK and Europe Search Award nominations, with 4 wins in the last three years.

As a curious and driven marketer, you seek a new challenge to advance your career. You should have strong search engine marketing experience, agility, and energy to meet deadlines and commercial targets. Experience can be agency or client-side.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage SEM activities daily to meet business targets: PPC focus on performance, reporting, and cost management; SEO focus on planning and delivery; affiliates and other online routes.
• Drive process improvements in workstreams.
• Manage agency project teams and mentor junior team members.
• Assist with forecasting and budget planning.
• Support website content development and customer experience enhancements.
• Stay updated on SEM developments, attend industry events, especially in LLMs, Generative AI, First Party Data, and online tracking & attribution.
• Ensure marketing activities comply with Hiscox policies, conduct, consumer duty, and privacy regulations.

The Ideal Candidate

• Experience in a similar SEM role, client-side or agency-side, circa 4-7 years.
• Ambitious digital marketing professional eager to develop skills and career.
• Results-oriented, independent worker with project ownership skills.
• Excellent process management and administrative skills.
• Strong numeracy and analytics skills; proficient with Excel, Looker Studio, Google Analytics 4, and tools like Google Search Console, SA360, and AWIN.
• Experience in regulated industries like finance is a plus.
