Senior Associate Fire Engineer Job in London
New requirement for a in London, with a multidisciplinary consultancy that’s growing its presence in building safety and fire engineering. This role comes with a competitive salary of up to £95,000, a £6,600 car allowance, bonus, hybrid working options, 30 days of annual leave, medical benefits, and more. The firm has been established for several decades, with numerous offices both across the UK and internationally. They work with a broad spectrum of clients, including developers, property owners, occupiers, and both private and public sector organisations. Their consultancy approach is collaborative and forward-thinking, offering a wide range of services such as cost consultancy, environmental, health & safety, project management, building safety and fire, among others.
With a rapidly expanding building safety and fire engineering department, this role will involve close collaboration with the head of department and a diverse range of projects throughout the UK. While the preferred location for this role is London, they are also open to considering candidates based in Birmingham, Bristol, Cambridge, Leeds, Liverpool, Manchester, Milton Keynes, Newcastle, Nottingham, or Winchester.
Role & Responsibilities
- Work closely with the head of department to aid the expansion of the team/service offerings
- Delivery of fire safety services
- Planning gateway one fire statements
- EWS1 and FRAEW fire risk assessment
- Construction stage reviews and assist with BSA Clerk of Work duties
- Government funding applications
- Ensure compliance and quality assurance
- Assist in proposal development and developing client relationships
- Networking and assisting in business development.
Required Skills & Experience
- Chartered Engineer status is highly desirable plus additional fire accreditations are advantageous
- Proven background in a similar position focused on fire safety, fire engineering, or fire science
- Multidisciplinary consultancy background is strongly desired
- Team management and mentoring experience
- Business development and client relations experience
- Commitment to advancing building safety standards
- Full UK Driving Licence and access to a car.
