Job Description Port Dispatch Manager/n /n Summary: /n The Port Dispatch Manager is responsible for the planning, scheduling, and coordination of all cargo movements and equipment usage across the port, ensuring safe, efficient, and cost-effective operations that align with CTG’s production targets and operational plans /n /nMain Objectives/n /n – Develop and manage production schedules for iron ore and general cargo, align dispatch planning with operational target /n – Schedule and coordinate port activities to optimize asset utilization and minimize idle time /n – Collect, analyze, and report on port production data, cargo movement, and equipment performance to support decision-making and KPI tracking /n – Work closely with the integrated planning team to align dispatch schedules with across Mines, Rail, Port, and Marine functions /n – Manage the health, well-being, safety, and environmental performance of the team. /n /n /n /n /nKey Requirements:/n /n – Tertiary qualification in Port, Transportation Management, Logistics, or related field preferred /n – 10+ years’ in port production or logistics operations, ideally in large-scale port environments /n – Familiarity with various cargo types and port handling processes /n – Manage the health, well-being, safety, and environmental performance of the team. /n – Strong knowledge of import/export port excellent coordination, organizational, and scheduling abilities /n – Deep understanding of port logistics and cargo dispatch requirements /n – Skilled in data analysis, production reporting, and stakeholder engagement /n – High integrity, cultural sensitivity, and medically fit for work in Guinea /n /n Salary: Market Related /n Location: West Africa (RESIDENTIAL) /n Contact: Harry Holroyd /n Project Global Mining /n (harry@projectglobalmining.com) /n Project Global Mining Ltd: Suite 111, Image Court, Surrey, KT12 /n /n CTG (Compagnie du Transguinéen) /n /n Created in 2022, CTG brings multiple industry partners together with the Government of Guinea in a unique joint venture that will play a key role in transforming Guinea’s economy and driving sustainable economic growth. /n CTG will own and operate the 670 kilometer rail corridor and port infrastructure constructed as part of the Simandou project, one of the world’s largest untapped resources of high-grade iron ore. In addition to the transport of iron ore from the Simandou mines to international markets, CTG’s infrastructure will also be used for passenger and general cargo services. This will help connect the full length of Guinea, including its existing agricultural areas, from Simandou in the South-East of the country to the port of Morébaya, close to Conakry, the capital of Guinea. /n With its Head Office in Conakry and operations across the infrastructure footprint, CTG is expected to progressively grow its workforce in the months and years ahead with a firm focus on operational, environmental and Health & Safety excellence and close connectivity with the communities wherever it operates. /n Ownership of CTG is split between development partners, Winning Consortium Simandou Infrastructure PTE LTD (WCS) (a joint venture between Winning Consortium and Baowu) and Simfer Infra Co (a joint venture ultimately comprising Rio Tinto and Chalco Iron Ore Holdings), each at 42.5% equity share, with the Government of the Republic of Guinea taking a 15% free carry equity stake.
