About this opportunity
Join the SOX & Risk Business Partnering team in Group Finance Support (GFS), where you’ll help ensure we meet our SOX and risk management responsibilities. You’ll work closely with finance stakeholders to support SOX assurance, RCSA processes, and strengthen our control environment.
This role, part of the Finance Chief Control Office, offers the chance to shape assurance practices, support control remediation, and explore smarter, tech-enabled solutions. You’ll also guide on risk matters across end-to-end processes as we continue to automate and improve financial controls.
As Assistant Manager, you’ll deliver control testing plans, build strong partnerships, and support continuous improvement in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Day to day, you will:
- Helping to coordinate and plan risk and control assessments, mapping key processes and controls, and supporting remediation actions.
- Providing support and guidance to process and control owners in applying the Risk Management framework.
- Assisting in the coordination and delivery of all SOX & Risk Business Partnering activity and collaborating with key stakeholders across the GFS & finance teams.
- Supporting the delivery of control testing plans across the GFS control environment, identifying gaps and recommending improvements.
- Contributing to the oversight of control remediation activity, ensuring timely and effective resolution of issues.
- Identifying opportunities to enhance assurance approaches, including the use of automation, preventative controls, and improved data insights.

What you\’ll need:
- Strong accounting knowledge and recently qualified or working towards a Professional qualification in related field (audit, risk management, accounting)
- Finance risk and control experience in relation to financial reporting risk across accounting processes and systems, with the ability to challenge risk and control owners on the end-to-end management of risk.
- Understanding of control management and the practical implementation across relevant business area with working knowledge of control design, optimisation, automation, testing and monitoring activities.
- Ability to build partnerships and works collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives.
