Role responsibilities
The Senior Policy and Case Manager is responsible for leading the delivery of policy management and Employee Relations case management for Transport Wales.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following.
· Responsible for the management of TfW’s HR policies and procedures, working with discipline leaders, trade unions and the in legal department to maintain and database of regularly updated documentation to ensure TfW is compliant with best practice and legislation.
· Responsible for the management of TfW’s HR case management workload, by managing a time of specialist by overseeing the end-to-end and timely closure of employee relations cases (disciplinary, performance, absence, grievance, absence management to ensure TfW is compliant and aligned to Employee Relations (ER) best practice.
· Resolve complex HR Case Management issues by acting as a point of escalation for the team, to ensure cases a resolved in a timely manner and to mitigate business risk.
· Accountable for developing and writing HR policies and procedures by researching and benchmarking best practices and consulting stakeholders to ensure alignment with legal requirements and organisational goals.
Who we’re looking for
· Demonstrable knowledge of employment legislation.
· Experience in policy development and implementation.
· Previous experience of working in a Unionised environment
· Experience of successful resolving Industrial Relations issues.
· Ability to draft comprehensive HR policies.
Welsh Language Skills
The ability to speak/write Welsh would make a great addition to your application, but it is not essential for this role.
