About the role
We are seeking a dynamic and passionate leader to become our first full-time Net Zero Lead, championing our environmental initiatives. This pivotal role requires strategic vision and the drive to embed net zero across our business while supporting our members on their net zero journey.
Key Responsibilities:
Governance & Policy:
- Represent Tide in policy initiatives related to net zero.
- Support key UK-based initiatives like IcebreakerOne\’s programs, workshops and other partners.
- Serve as the liaison with net zero advisors and auditors.
- Drive updates, renew our commitments.
- Advocate for Tide externally via podcasts, conferences, and stakeholder meetings, always advancing our net zero approach.
- Monitor major policy changes in the UK, India, Germany, and other relevant markets.
- Explore participation in similar programs in our India and Germany markets.
- Advocate for standardized carbon accounting methodologies at the policy level.
- Achieve target approval.
Commitment to:
- Lead the carbon removals purchasing function, in collaboration with Tide’s India CEO, Finance, and PR & Communications teams.
- Oversee Tide\’s emissions reporting in partnership with the Finance team.
- Stay informed on advancements in carbon removal technologies and market trends, in the UK and globally including the PCAF and others and integrate these into Tide’s strategy.
- Champion the net zero mission internally, driving carbon emissions reduction across the organisation.
- Partner with Product teams to create a roadmap supporting Tide members on their net zero journey.
- Explore opportunities to assist Tide members in carbon reduction, including partnerships with carbon removal API providers.
