In this role you will add value to PXP by:

As Product Manager for PXP Instore payment services, you will be responsible for the end-to-end-process of defining and extending our suite of products relating to our customer-present offering (standalone card readers, enterprise solutions for retail, hospitality and cruise as well as our new offerings for enterprise and B2C customers).

Understanding the needs of the market, identifying where opportunities may arise and coming up with new ideas and innovations that can help to distinguish us from competitors.

Creating and shaping the product vision, identifying a network of possible partners, and identifying region-specific requirements and market entry strategies.

Working with our existing and new customer segments to find out how our product offering is perceived and where we can continuously improve on it.

Creating and presenting business cases for new products and extensions to be included in our roadmap, in close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, with support from our team of product owners.

Defining a set of KPIs and metrics that will help us identify the success of new products at every stage of the product lifecycle.

Working closely with our team of Product Owners on identifying release packages and increments that shape the sequence of overall development in our agile development environment. Being the voice of the customer internally.

Conducting internal training, creating product documentation and supporting activities around product marketing together with our marketing team.

A typical week as a Product Manager might involve:

Strategy & Insight

  • Defining and driving the overall product strategy for standalone Android devices over the next 3-5 years and being the key contributor to our go-to-market strategy
  • Defining and driving the overall product strategy for our suite of enterprise solutions, mostly for retail, hospitality, and Cruise but also other industries including horse racing, sports betting and others.
  • Defining and driving the overall product and go-to-market strategy for new products and exploring the opportunities around offering a dedicated B2C product.
  • Forging and shaping relationships with new and existing partners.
  • Working closely with new and existing customers to understand their needs.
  • Conducting scanning and scouting exercises in the specific product area to unlock new insight into the payments market, our customers and competitors. Using insights gained to further inform the business and to feed into future product strategy and proposition development.
  • Gathering and analysing feedback from customers directly as well as from sales, marketing, and technology teams and use this as insights to feed into B2B and B2C strategies and proposition development.

Product Development, Management and Innovation

  • Inputting into new products within the product area for the B2B offering from ideation through to launch
  • Working collaboratively with the marketing, sales, technology, operations and legal teams to validate, develop and test new propositions and products.
  • Actively and regularly interacting with the development scrum teams, ensuring you prioritise user cases within each sprint, and motivating and educating the development team, where necessary, on the value of new product developments.
  • Ensuring attendance in regular meetings including sprint planning, product backlog refinement and sprint review meetings.
  • Managing and monitoring existing products and small changes.

Expert Sales

  • Providing expert sales support for our products and services. Supporting our Sales department with clients and prospects.
  • Maintaining and creating product sales sheets where applicable.
  • Participating and orchestrating incoming and outgoing RFIs/RFPs.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Holds 5 years of product management-level experience within a payments and/or financial services business.
  • Has a proven track record in leading and delivering large product launches within a payments business.
  • Has strong creativity, organisational and project management skills.
  • Has the ability to travel to meet with customers or attend internal workshops in different locations, attending trade shows or conferences to represent PXP and its products and services.
