A respected regional law firm is seeking a real estate solicitor to join their expanding Dispute Resolution team, based in Cambridge. This is an excellent opportunity for a junior real estate solicitor to specialise early in a dynamic and increasingly high-profile area of property law, while progressing their career in a collaborative and supportive environment.

This role is ideal for a driven real estate solicitor (NQ-3 PQE) with a passion for property litigation and a desire to build an in-demand specialist skillset. As a real estate solicitor in this team, you will have the opportunity to work on high-quality matters with national clients, gaining exposure to complex disputes and hands-on mentoring from senior partners.

The real estate solicitor\’s role

The successful real estate solicitor will advise on a broad range of contentious property matters including landlord and tenant disputes, boundary disagreements, easements, dilapidation claims, and forfeiture proceedings. You will work collaboratively with other specialists across the firm, handling matters in both commercial and residential contexts.

This is a client-facing position offering early responsibility and involvement in strategic decision-making, negotiations, and court proceedings. The real estate solicitor will also have opportunities to build relationships with key industry contacts such as surveyors, valuers, and property professionals.

The real estate solicitor

  • Qualified solicitor in England and Wales with 0-3 years\’ PQE

  • Exposure to or keen interest in property litigation

  • Solid academic record (LLB or GDL, and LPC or SQE)

  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills

  • Ambition to develop a specialist practice in real estate disputes

  • Team player with commercial acumen and a client-focused mindset
