AV ENGINEER

Reading Salary up to £40,000 + paid overtime vehicle

A leading Audio / Visual Company due to the continued success and growth of the business is seeking to recruit an AV Engineer. The role will supervise small teams of specialist engineers responsible for the installation of Audio Visual equipment into clients’ premises and fulfil the clients’ stated requirements. The ideal candidates will have a proven track record working in the AV industry, with previous experience, and may be looking to step up to a senior AV Engineer.

Duties

  • Project Lead and commissioning of corporate AV solutions
  • AV on-site installation experience of installing a range of equipment in a range of environments including projection display screens, interactive technologies, audio solutions, switching, video scalers, signal extenders and digital signage
  • Rack building and wiring
  • Interpretation of written directives including schematic diagrams, M&E drawings and cable structures
  • Ensure compliance with the Risk Assessment and Method Statement (RAMS) provided by the Project Manager
  • Completion of First Fix Cable routing, pulling and cable identity marking in the schematic diagram
  • Erection and Mounting of Equipment brackets, mounts, cable trunking and cable termination
  • Installation of AV Hardware and cable connection plates and floor boxes
  • AV equipment Rack construction and connection
  • Failure diagnosis, investigation and fault rectification, testing and rectifying any faults and works completed on time
  • Have the Leadership qualities required for this role with excellent interpersonal skill sets and Time Management
  • Have Health and Safety and Asbestos Awareness

Management

Will have the Leadership qualities required for this role and manage engineers internally and externally.
