We have an exciting opportunity for a Junior Assortment Planner (Merchandising) to join The Very Group (across Fashion, Sports, and Home). You will report directly to the Merchandiser for the area, providing opportunities for skill development.
In this role, you will handle supplier and brand relationships, collaborate with buying and merchandising teams to develop commercial range plans, and analyze historical performance, market trends, and competitor ranges to inform future strategies.
We seek a highly motivated individual with excellent attention to detail, strong commercial acumen, and a passion for data analysis. The ideal candidate has experience as a Junior Merchandiser or an Assistant Merchandiser ready for the next step.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own the planning process with support from the Merchandiser
- Ensure the department\’s framework aligns with product strategy and business KPIs
- Contribute to the department\’s vision and strategy alongside Buying & Merch Financial Planning
- Review lessons learned and update senior management
- Collaborate with buying on future and in-season buys
- Build strong relationships with brands and suppliers
- Support system and process improvements for best practices
- Manage one or more Assistant Merchandisers
- Act as Deputy for the Merchandiser when needed
About you:
