Job Description

International Management Accountant – Basingstoke  (Hybrid 1 day a week in the office) – £60,000–£65,000

About the Job:A key role within the central finance team, the International Management Accountant will oversee the financial operations and reporting for several overseas offices. This includes monthly management accounts, reconciliations, and compliance for locations in France, Spain, Greece and Singapore. The successful candidate will act as the primary contact for third-party accountants and internal teams, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and compliance across all territories.

Duties will include:

  • Preparing timely and accurate monthly management accounts for international entities, including balance sheet reconciliations and P&L schedules
  • Maintaining accruals, prepayments, bank reconciliations, and fixed asset registers across international offices
  • Managing complex intercompany relationships, recharges, and transfer pricing
  • Coordinating with third-party accountants to align local and central finance records
  • Supporting statutory audits and preparing year-end audit files
  • Ensuring tax and statutory compliance in all relevant jurisdictions, in collaboration with internal and external tax teams
  • Assisting with VAT submissions and resolving ad hoc VAT queries
  • Providing guidance and oversight to an Accounts Assistant supporting this role
  • Participating in ongoing process improvements and ad hoc finance projects

About the Successful Applicant:You will be ACCA, ACA or CIMA qualified with solid experience in a multinational, multicurrency environment. Strong technical accounting knowledge, a meticulous attention to detail, and proficiency in Excel are essential. You will be an organised and self-motivated team player with excellent communication skills and the ability to manage tight deadlines. Experience in the professional services sector and exposure to system implementation would be an advantage.
