Seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Junior/Mid-LevelData& Planning Analystto support strategic planning and data consolidation activities across key programmes and initiatives. This role is ideal for someone with strong financial servicesexperience, advanced Excel capabilities, and a passion for working with complex data sets to drive business insights and planning accuracy.
Key Skills & Experience:
- Advanced Excel skills(Power Query, pivot tables, complex formulas) –essential.
- Experience in thefinancial services or banking sector–essential.
- SharePoint experience (especially forms and lists)–essential.
- Demonstrated ability tobuild data and planning strategies from scratch–essential.
- Proven experience working with complex data sets and data consolidation.
- Strong understanding of financial budgeting and planning processes.
- Knowledge of technology and financial infrastructure (FI) – desirable.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Consolidate and manage complex data sets using advanced Excel techniques, including Power Query and complex formulas.
- Support project and programme leads in completing planning templates, business cases, and financial forecasts.
- Develop and maintain data collection templates to ensure consistency and accuracy across business units.
- Assist in the preparation and review of financial budgets and planning cycles.
- Leverage SharePoint (forms/lists) to streamline data collection and reporting processes.
- Build out data and planning strategies from the ground up, ensuring scalable and sustainable processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of data inputs and planning assumptions.
- Provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis to support decision-making.
