Domestic Couple – Gardener/Maintenance & Nanny/PA/basic cook (no cleaning)
Nr Henley on Thames
Start Date: September/October 2025
Salary negotiable around £65k/£70k gross pa depending on experience
2-bedroom cottage on the estate (all expenses covered)
An informal and welcoming family is seeking an enthusiastic, cheerful, \”can do\” flexible couple to join their household on a long-term basis. The roles will suit a practical, energetic, and hands-on couple who would enjoy working in a busy family home with three school-aged children. Team players important as full time Housekeeper employed and part time maintenance/gardener also to assist.
• General care and upkeep of formal and informal gardens
• Lawn care, pruning, planting, and seasonal work
• General maintenance and basic DIY across the property and outbuildings
• Occasional driving (e.g. airport runs, errands)
• Pet care for the 2 family dogs
Role 2: Nanny / Mother’s Help / PA (“Girl Friday”)
• Supporting the mother in day-to-day routines and scheduling
• School runs, after-school activities, and play supervision
• Occasional proxy parenting when parents are away
Grocery shopping
• Cooking for the children and family on occasion (no formal dinner parties)
• No cleaning required – a full-time housekeeper is employed
• Working Monday to Friday with very occasional weekend work if family are hosting events (approx. 4 weekends per year)
• Dog lovers essential – pet care is part of the role
• Preferable if both drive (essential Nanny drives)
• Accommodation provided is a private 2 bedroom cottage with its own garden, utilities and costs covered
