About the Role:
As a Purchasing Assistant, you\’ll support operations by preparing and managing orders, maintaining supplier relationships, and ensuring inventory and stock levels are optimized. You\’ll collaborate with internal departments and external vendors to ensure purchasing objectives are consistently met.
Key Responsibilities:

Prepare, communicate, and expedite purchase orders to ensure timely delivery

Work closely with internal customers and external vendors to meet departmental goals

Evaluate supplier performance and maintain effective working relationships

Collaborate with suppliers to manage appropriate levels of imprest stock

Process and manage data related to warranty claims
-
Identify and manage material obsolescence to reduce waste and cost

Collate and monitor weekly fuel and lubricant stock data

Work with garages to review demand patterns and establish optimal stock levels

Liaise with the accounts team regarding invoicing and payment queries

Update and maintain accurate price files, vendor files, and historic purchasing records

Run reports to support departmental activities and provide business insights
What We\’re Looking For:

Previous experience in a purchasing, supply chain, or administrative role

Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills

Confident communicator with good negotiation skills

Proficiency in MS Office; ERP or procurement software experience is advantageous
