Vestas Service Offshore NCE (Northern and Central Europe), is accountable for all offshore service contracts within our region. Responsibilities
We are looking for a strategic-minded Director of Operations Development with a good understanding of daily operations to lead and inspire a team of more than 30 employees in a constantly evolving environment. The team is divided into four sub-departments, each with an individual focus on enhancing processes and our ability to execute, balancing day-to-day operational support with ensuring continuous improvement of our operations. In this role you will:
- Lead and develop your team of about four direct reports overseeing up to 30 people
- Act as key interface both to other NCE functions as well as group-level stakeholders
- Play a pivotal role in developing and implementing our strategy process both in your own team and the wider deployment across the organisation
- Perform budgeting and orchestrating our strategy process in concert with the management team
- Ensure clear alignment with regional P&L owners and other critical stakeholders
- Champion continuous improvement initiatives across both your department and the broader departments within NCE Service Offshore
- Engage in and contribute to strategic conversations related to operational direction and efficiency improvements
Qualifications
We expect that you possess:
- Demonstrated effective leadership and interpersonal skills
- Operational experience and a strategic vision to support business development
- A comprehensive understanding of the diverse disciplines that contribute to an effective Operations & Maintenance (O&M) business
- In-depth experience in directing and improving strategic planning efforts
- Experience from wind turbine projects, services, or other large-scale infrastructure sectors
- Extensive experience in developing and implementing methods and concepts within an operational context
- A Bachelor\’s or Master\’s degree within Engineering, Business Administration or a related field
