Job Description
- Carry out a range of statutory social work interventions, focusing on early help, assessment, and safeguarding
- Lead on complex cases and support safe, family-led solutions including Family Group Conferencing
- Provide coaching, mentoring, and day-to-day support for social workers, students, and non-social work staff
- Coordinate and contribute to high-quality assessments, court reports, and child protection planning
- Promote reflective practice and ensure the use of restorative approaches across the team
- Deputise for the Team Manager when required and contribute to service development
- Build strong multi-agency partnerships to support families and protect vulnerable children
Requirements
- Qualified Social Worker with registration with Social Work England
- Substantial post-qualifying experience in children’s statutory social work
- Strong understanding of relevant legislation including the Children Act, Working Together, and SEND
- Excellent assessment, communication, and supervisory skills
- Committed to promoting best practice, professional development, and service improvement
- Full UK driving licence and access to a car
