We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced Surface Mount Machine Operator / SMT Operator to join this leading provider of electronic design and assembly services in Widnes, Cheshire.

With over 70 years of collective experience in areas as diverse as avionics, automotive subsystems, digital video, distributed data acquisition, motor control and smart card development. Our client works with their customers at the leading edge of new product development from initial design, prototyping and certification through to volume manufacture, ongoing service, maintenance and repair, in short – the complete product lifecycle.
About the role
As a Surface Mount Machine Operator / SMT Operator your duties will include:
- The production of high complexity assemblies using Juki and Europlacer machines
- Kitting and De-kitting of surface mount machines
- Machine operation and programming
- Manual insertion of components
- In process quality inspection
- Rework
About you
To be successful for the role of Surface Mount Machine Operator / SMT Operator, you must have previous experience in production of high complexity assemblies using Juki and/or Europlacer machines and previous experience of all SMT assembly processes along with knowledge of IPC-610 quality standards would be an advantage.
About the hours and rewards
For the role of Surface Mount Machine Operator / SMT Operator initial working hours are 8am-4pm (Mon to Fri) with an element of paid overtime and occasional weekends. After completion of training, working hours may change to include shifts of 6am-2pm & 2pm-10pm (Mon to Fri) and there is an excellent salary on offer of circa £20,500 annum plus:
